To Whom It May Concern,
This letter serves as a formal recommendation for Prabal Patra (GitHub: @alienx5499), who successfully contributed as a participant in the Protocol Labs Dev Guild (PLDG) program conducted by Protocol Labs.
PLDG is a highly selective global open-source contributor initiative designed to support developers working across the decentralized technology ecosystem. Across six cohorts, the program received applications from contributors representing more than 20 countries, with an approximate acceptance rate of 6%.
During their participation spanning approximately 6 months (Cohort 4, Cohort 5, Cohort 6), Prabal Patra actively contributed to open-source projects and ecosystem initiatives associated with Protocol Labs and partner blockchain ecosystems. Their contributions included work involving Rust, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, libp2p, C++ across projects such as drand, libp2p.
Throughout the program, contributors were expected to collaborate in fast-paced open-source environments, participate in technical reviews, ship production-level contributions, and engage with globally distributed developer communities.
Prabal Patra demonstrated strong initiative, technical consistency, collaborative ability, and commitment to open-source development during their tenure in the program.
Collectively, contributors across PLDG cohorts delivered more than 5,000 merged pull requests across multiple blockchain and infrastructure ecosystems.
We appreciate their contributions and confidently recommend them for future technical, research, open-source, or engineering opportunities.
Sincerely,
Anubha Maneshwar
Program Manager, Protocol Labs
